They all flew out of the forest together. Then Lupa noticed something... She raced back to the dens seeing the pups curled up in the corner. Lupa grasped them firmly in her jaw and leaped all the way back to the other wolves.

Lupa transferred the pups to Killer's mouth and laid Rush on Lupa's back.

Lupa spun around seeing the sight. She raced towards him and the tree and nudged the tree away. Lupa felt crushed to see what the answer was. Would he be dead or alive?

Lupa gave him the herbs he needed in seconds hoping for him to stay alive. They sat and waited to see.

The fire urged closer to them all. "We've got to get out!" Lupa placed Killer on her back while Rush and Star grabbed the pups. They raced out into a clearing and traveled over the river to where the fire could not get.
